ABOUT
Skin-contact electrophysiology can be used to detect and assess the electrical properties of biological systems via the skin. Proper electrical interfacing with the skin is crucial for gathering skin-contact electrophysiological data. Prior art skin-contact interfaces such as gel or dry electrodes pose limitations in realistic settings in that they are stiff and bulky, impose severe restrictions to user comfort and mobility, and therefore limit practical applications.
What is needed is a flexible, skin-conformable, biocompatible, and durable electrode for sensing biological signals in realistic conditions.
